The Villa de Leon is an older, but very clean and well maintained building with classic architecture. We chose the Villa de Leon because the suites could sleep three people comfortably over a long period of time (our suite had one bedroom with two beds, and a day bed in the living room), and we could prepare our own meals with the full set of appliances. Our particular suite cost 1750.00 for a month of accommodation. The grocery store, pharmacy, and restaurants are all within walking distance (10 – 15 minutes), and laundry facilities are on-site. The Villa de Leon is located adjacent to Tampa General Hospital, and is a 15-20 minute automobile commute to the RSD / CRPS treatment clinic. The Villa de Leon is NOT wheelchair accessible. However, we managed our travels from our ground floor suite with no significant difficulty. There is one set of stairs at the courtyard entrance, and one to enter the building (about 3 steps each). Given the size of my sister and her wheelchair, it was no problem at all for two people to lift her, while sitting in her wheelchair, over the steps. In our situation, we felt that this was a minor inconvenience, and would not deter us from choosing this location again. It is a quiet and peaceful environment.
