Crohn's Disease

 

 

Joel Weinstock MD has promising results from clinical studies of the pig whipworm to treat Crohn's Disease. A biological agent has been licensed to two pharmaceutical companies that are developing it as a drug. After FDA clearance and European regulatory clearance, the drug will undergo clinical trials in the US and Europe.

 

Dr. Weinstock is Chief, Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology; Professor, Tufts University School of Medicine
